The client had a 12-day timeline from start to finish with only pencil sketches and a design brief specifying that it had to look beautiful during the day while being dynamic and futuristic at night. We guided the client through the design process by creating 3D mockups and pre-visualizations and built the stage and achieved their vision, all within the 12-day timeline.
To expedite the process, we refined their pencil sketches to 2D line-work first, and secondly with color renderings to choose the color palette and expand the sketch to a comprehensive blueprint
Once we narrowed down the specifics, we created a CAD model to take advantage of our CNC machines to produce accurate individual components for assembly.
The stage has fully integrated DMX protocol and can be controlled with an iPad or any other DMX controller for when they need to use their own in-house lighting personnel.
We mixed our own paint to create a glistening effect during the day and the UV reactive resin paint added the wow-effect when the stage was lit up at night.
Our crew assembled the stage on-site in downtown Los Angeles within 3 hours.
